Liquidboy & Adriaan: I'm glad you enjoyed the article! :)

I haven't had a chance to dig in deeper, but I'm planning on making a few head to head comparisons, specifically to see how Silverlight's VM compares to Tamarin.

[disclaimer: i too, liquidboy, do not work for microsoft.]

Hi Filipe,

Really liked your overview of air. Im going to post about it in a couple of days too (noting how i got started onto it because of your article).

Im currently working on a personal project learning SilverLight from ground up. Never touched the technology before 2 weeks ago. Im posting everything i learn about it in my blog so that others can see how easy silverlight is.

I honestly belive (after 1.5 weeks of coding) it is a far superior experience for a developer/designer than flash is. I've been a flash developer for over 2 years (not long i know) but im going to move away from flash to silverlight as a result of my recent experiences with ms's new technology.

Im converting the iTunes application to a silverlight / ajax.asp.net one. And it blows my mind how easy and powerful silverlight / expression / ajax.asp.net is...

Anyway i just wanted to share my personal experiences with silverlight with yourself and your readers .... Readers .... please give silverlight a go and don't dismiss it because it's an MS technolgy (which alot of people tend to do)

Check out my project here (<a href="http://advertboy.wordpress.com/project-silverlight-11/" rel="nofollow">Project SilverLight 1.1)</a>

ohh yeah Filipe keep writing cool articles, im learning so much from your blog!
